Policy Overview

The workplace harassment policy defines behavior that undermines dignity, safety, or equal opportunity. Harassment can be verbal, physical, visual, or digital, and may involve power dynamics or persistent patterns. It is not limited to obvious incidents but can include repeated microbehaviors that create a hostile environment. The policy applies to all employees, contractors, and visitors while on company premises or during work activities. The standard is clear: everyone deserves respect and a safe workplace.

Scope and Protected Characteristics

The policy covers all staff, contractors, interns, and volunteers, across protected characteristics such as race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Harassment may be conducted by supervisors, peers, or other colleagues in any setting.

  • Examples include repeated insulting remarks, unwanted sexual attention, or interference with work due to protected status.
  • Non protected characteristic harassment may still be addressed if it creates a hostile environment or violates policy.

Policy Objectives

The goals are to prevent harassment, protect dignity, and promote an inclusive culture. Clear expectations and fair processes ensure consistent handling and accountability for all.
