Escalation Channels
Use the designated channels in your policy: direct supervisor, Human Resources, Compliance or Ethics, or a formal reporting hotline. For safety concerns, select the fastest channel identified by the organization.
Roles and Confidentiality
Know who will handle the report: HR, managers, compliance officers, and sometimes legal. Clarify confidentiality expectations and what information may be shared with investigators. Use the need-to-know principle to protect all parties.
