Reporting Mechanics and Channels
This lesson introduces the reporting landscape, channels, confidentiality, timing, and what to expect during the reporting process. It provides guidance on what information to collect and how the organization handles reports to protect all parties involved.

Overview

Safe and accessible reporting channels exist for every employee to raise concerns about harassment, bias, or safety. You can file through HR, your supervisor, an ethics hotline, or a designated Diversity & Inclusion office. Reports may be submitted anonymously where allowed by law, and all channels support language options and reasonable accommodations. Each channel is intended to protect dignity, privacy, and fairness while enabling a prompt response.

To report, provide what happened, dates, locations, people involved, and any supporting evidence. You should share what you know, even if details are uncertain. The system guides you to document timelines and preserve evidence for investigators.

After submission, the organization will acknowledge receipt, assign a case to investigators, and communicate expected timelines and next steps while protecting confidentiality as much as possible. Outcomes may include remedies, policy changes, or training to prevent recurrence, with ongoing monitoring to ensure safety and trust.
