Overview
Retaliation against a person who reports or participates in an investigation is strictly prohibited. The policy defines retaliation broadly and provides clear prohibitions, including adverse work actions, increased scrutiny, or isolation.
If you experience retaliation, report it immediately through the same channels. Investigations may run in parallel with the initial concern. The organization will act promptly to stop retaliation and protect the complainant, witnesses, and supporters.
Support options include temporary accommodations, counseling, workload adjustments, and access to resources. Leaders must intervene when retaliation occurs and communicate consequences for inappropriate actions. Safe reporting and timely intervention reinforce a culture of accountability.
