Description
Industry-specific simulations help you apply policies and communication skills in realistic contexts. You will participate in role-plays, receive feedback, and refine responses for different stakeholders, including employees, managers, customers, and partners.
This module gives you practice applying harassment and diversity policies through immersive, industry-tailored scenarios. You will participate in role-plays, receive feedback from facilitators, and refine your responses when interacting with employees, managers, customers, and partners in realistic contexts.
The simulations are designed to reflect common workplace contexts across multiple sectors, including frontline/customer-facing roles, internal teams, and interactions with clients and vendors. Industry-specific prompts help you practice applying policies in realistic settings.
No prior role-play experience is required. The module guides you through the scenarios, and participation is welcome at different comfort levels; you can start with guided prompts and progress to more complex interactions as you gain confidence.
After each scenario, you will receive structured feedback from the facilitator, highlighting what you did well and where you can improve. Feedback may include written notes, verbal debriefs, and optional video playback for self-review.
Yes. You can revisit scenarios and re-take role-plays. Repetition, combined with feedback, helps you refine communication, decision-making, and escalation skills over time.
You will practice applying policies to real situations, communicating clearly and respectfully, de-escalating conflicts, intervening as a bystander, and tailoring your approach to different stakeholders and industry contexts.
Performance is assessed through participation in simulations, the quality of your responses, and your ability to translate policy into practice. You may also complete knowledge checks and reflective tasks as part of the debrief process.
Yes. The simulations emphasize prevention through proactive communication and inclusive practices, as well as how to respond appropriately when harassment occurs, including reporting and escalation when needed.
Review your organization's harassment and diversity policies, local laws, and your own role responsibilities. Find a quiet, distraction-free space and ensure a stable internet connection and a compatible device.
The standard industry-specific scenarios are designed to be broadly applicable, but administrators can tailor prompts and integrate your organization’s policies, reporting channels, and terminology for a closer fit.
Examples include dealing with a coworker making inappropriate comments, addressing harassment from a supervisor, handling harassment from external clients or vendors, managing microaggressions and protected characteristic issues, and navigating online or cross-cultural interactions.
After each simulation, translate learning into practical actions such as your personal action plan, updated scripts for conversations, and documented steps for escalation. Use the capstone and other program components to anchor these changes.
Yes. Facilitators guide debriefs after each scenario, and some sessions include peer feedback to share perspectives and support collective learning.
Role-plays use fictional identifiers, and debriefs focus on learning and skill-building rather than personal judgments. Sensitive information should not be shared, and participants are trained to maintain privacy.
Accommodations can be requested to support accessibility, such as captioning, screen reader compatibility, or alternative formats. Contact the course administrator to arrange suitable options.
This module is part of the practice, assessment, and certification track. It pairs well with foundational modules and the capstone to build practical skills; review the recommended sequence in your program guide.
Duration varies based on pace and the number of simulations completed. Plan for multiple practice sessions and debriefs to maximize skill development.
Participating in this simulation-focused module supports your broader certification journey and capstone workflow. A formal certification is issued after completion of the full program and related requirements.
Yes, the simulations are accessible online and designed for flexible learning. Some interactive elements may be best experienced in real-time with feedback, but you can complete many components asynchronously depending on your setup.
This quiz assesses your understanding of workplace harassment and diversity concepts using scenario-based questions and role-play outcomes. You will encounter situations commonly faced in industry settings and choose the best course of action based on respectful conduct, lawful practices, and inclusive decision-making. Review explanations after each question to reinforce appropriate responses, reporting pathways, and bystander intervention strategies.
